Hungry Reindeer
We hope that Rudolph and his friends are hungry tonight as they are going to be left lots of tasty food by the children from Hecklegirth Nursery. Here are some of the afternoon children busy preparing a little snack for them.
Reindeer Food
The last few weeks have been so busy in Nursery as we learned the songs for our Christmas celebration, made cards and decorations and decorated the tree … but one of the most important jobs of all was making our reindeer food. Here are some photos of the morning children busy with their preparations. Don’t forget to put it out tomorrow tonight boys and girls so that the reindeer can have a tasty little snack on their long journey. We will post photos of the afternoon children soon.
Christmas Celebration Part Two
Just like the morning children, those in the afternoon made us feel proud when they sang their Christmas songs to their families in church on Tuesday, particularly since so many were absent making them a much smaller group. They proved themselves to be ‘confident individuals’ in their performance and we thank Mr. Higton and the United Reform Church for providing us with this opportunity. Thank you also to those families who provided an enthusiastic audience for the children.
Christmas celebration
We hope that, like us, you were very proud of all the children as they behaved and sang so beautifully in front of a big audience at our Christmas celebration on Tuesday. Huge thanks go to Mr. Higton and the United Reform Church for inviting us to their church and to the many family members who helped to make this a special occasion for the children. Here are a few photos of the morning children looking as wonderful as they sounded. We will post photos of the afternoon children soon.
Christmas Celebration
We hope that you are all looking forward to our Christmas celebration today, Tuesday 18th December. Children should attend Nursery at normal times and we will walk them to church. Families should then come to the United Reform Church for 11.00 or 2.00, depending on which session your child attends.
We are delighted that many of our families have indicated that they would like to be part of our celebration. We want this to be an informal occasion for the children to enjoy a relaxed and happy performance to their families and look forward to seeing you there.
Busy, Busy In The Sunshine Room
Our youngest children, in the Sunshine Room, have been busy in the lead up to Christmas making reindeer food and creating their own fireplace for their role play area. They showed concentration and perseverance as they worked away to produce some great work. The reindeer food will be coming home soon. We hope that Rudolph and his friends enjoy it.
Happy Christmas
The children have all worked hard to create a Christmas card for their families and we thought we would share a selection with you before they go home. I wonder if anyone can spot their own work?
Christmas Party Take Two
As promised, here are the children in the afternoon enjoying their party and meeting Santa. What a great time they all had.

Christmas Party
A fun time was had by all at our Christmas parties with something for everyone, be it games, dancing or party food. The children looked wonderful in their party outfits and even Stan the Star made an appearance dressed in some festive tinsel. Everyone was delighted to have a visit from Santa, despite it being such a busy time of year for him. Thank you Santa – we all really appreciated your visit.
The photos below give you a taste of our morning party and photos of the afternoon party will follow soon.
