Happy Families

Two of our parents have left us comments.

Fay’s Mum said, “Fay is enjoying getting to know her new Buddy Megan, especially playing together in the big playground.”

Those buddies certainly are doing a good job. They really looked after the children well in the big playground.

Paulina’s Mum and Dad loved the photo of her with her certificate and left her a message:

“We are proud of you:) “

We are all proud of you too Paulina. Well done!

Buddy Comment

Tobias from Primary 6 has left a comment about being a buddy:

“I have enjoyed playing with my buddy and getting to know him. I canny wait to see him again when we can catch up and learn more about him.”

You are doing a great job as a buddy Tobias. Thank you for all your visits and for leaving us a comment. You and the rest of the buddies are really helping the children prepare for Primary 1.

Buddy Letters

As promised, here are some photos of the Primary 6 buddies in the Sunshine Room meeting the Nursery children and some of their families when they came to deliver their introductory letters. Thank you for all your super work Primary 6 – we are sure that our parents appreciate your efforts. We look forward to you taking the Nursery children to the playground soon.

Meet The Buddies

The children who will be moving on to Primary 1 at Hecklegirth in August now know who their own buddy will be and Primary 6 children are making such a good job of building relationships with their new little friends.
The buddies very kindly took the time to write letters to their Nursery child’s family so that they know a little about them and in the last few days they have introduced themselves to their parents or grandparents. We hope that this has eased a few of the worries you may have had about your child moving to Primary 1 and that you enjoy sharing the letters with your children.
Thank you Primary 6 children for doing a super job. You certainly are responsible citizens and effective contributors! Here are some Rainbow Room buddy photos. Sunshine Room will follow soon.

Super Storytellers

Miss Dennis, our P7/6 teacher, has been having a look at our World Book Day photos and left us a message:

Glad to see world book day activities were enjoyed by nursery children and the primary six buddies. I hope you all enjoyed the stories! Primary 6 from P7/6 certainly enjoyed reading the stories to the nursery pupils and are looking forward to reading more stories with them!

We already know that Primary 6 children are shaping into great buddies and we discovered that they are very good storytellers too. Thank you Miss Dennis for leaving us a comment and thanks also to the super children from your class who did a great job. We look forward to seeing them again soon in Nursery.

Stories In Pyjamas

World Book Day is always a lovely opportunity to celebrate our favourite books and to encourage the children to enjoy stories. This year, as part of a whole school celebration, the Nursery children wore their pyjamas to Nursery and brought in their favourite books. It was great to see that almost everyone participated and amazingly some even brought a book that matched their pyjamas.
Primary 6 buddies from P7/6 came to visit (in their pyjamas of course) and were super storytellers, making sure that every child had their favourite book read to them. We hope that you enjoy these photos from World Book Day – more will follow in the next few days of their visit to Annan library as part of our celebrations.
