Thank You Tesco

We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Tesco for their recent generous donation for our planter on the High Street. Mrs. Kirkpatrick kindly wrote to ask for their help and Edith invited her to collect this lovely selection which we hope will blossom over the summer to brighten up the High Street for everyone in the town.
Thanks also go to Mrs. Kirkpatrick and Mrs. Gray for taking the time to plant and water the new plants in our planter. We are sure that everyone will appreciate your efforts and look forward to seeing the plants grow and flower over the next few months. Why not take a walk with your family to see what a good job they have done?

Twins Win

We have received this lovely photo from Lily and James’ family of them enjoying a fun Sports Day. They sent us a message too,
“Lily and James doing the egg and spoon race both won as they are twins after all. Both really enjoying sports outside including learning to skip as well.”
Super photo Lily and James! “Egg and spoon” can be tricky and skipping is definitely a great skill to learn. Thank you very much for sending us your photo. We are glad that you had fun.

Letter Smiles

Some of the children who have received a letter from Mrs. J. Carruthers have sent us photos.

Summer’s family said that she was so happy to receive her letter from Mrs Carruthers and has loved telling all her family about it. Both Lola and Emily said that they loved receiving  their postcard letters and enjoyed the note being read to them.

Thank you so much for sharing your photos. It is lovely to see them all looking happy and we are delighted that they enjoyed their letters.

Caterpillar News

We have exciting news from Mrs. Mackay about the caterpillars her family is looking after. Just like Isaac’s tadpoles, they have grown and transformed.
This week all the caterpillars have made their chrysalises and have been transferred to their new home until they emerge. She had mentioned previously that she thought that one set was a little bigger than the other and reports that one pot did make their chrysalises two days before the other so that must be their age difference.
She also reports that they had one chrysalis which attached to the side of the cup and it then fell to the bottom of the pot but that it seems to be absolutely fine. Goodness me, we have had that happen so many times in Nursery in the past and have worried over our little caterpillars but usually they have been fine so fingers crossed. Mrs. Mackay said that there was great excitement in her house when the chrysalises started shaking when they moved them but they have settled down well now and her family is looking forward to seeing the butterflies emerge.
Thank you to Mrs. Mackay for sharing her photos and story about her caterpillars. We are looking forward to hearing about their next stage.

Sports Day Fun

We are delighted to have received another fun Sports day video. We just love hearing you giggling so much Skye, you’ve obviously had a great time. It’s great to see your big brother too who lots of us remember from when he was in our Nursery although he has definitely grown a lot since then.

Thank you so much for sharing your video. It will make everyone feel very happy. Please click on the link below to see Skye’s Sports Day fun.

We Love Your Photos

Lots of the Nursery staff have been enjoying the photos and videos you have sent in and we are sure that your friends will have been pleased to see you on the blog too. Mrs. Kirkpatrick has been enjoying looking at your photos and said,

“Oh wow 🤩 “ when she saw how Isaac’s tadpoles had grown. She also loved the photos of Isaac with his letter and tricky jigsaw puzzle:

“I do miss this cheeky wee smile Issac,” and “That is amazing 48 piece puzzle I’m Impressed”

Mrs. Kirkpatrick loved the Sports day video of the course devised by two super sisters:

“Fabulous obstacle course, looks like you had lots of fun doing this x”

and she also left a message for Tilly,

“Hope you enjoyed reading your letter Tilly, stay safe and I hope to see you again soon”

Lily and James impressed Mrs. Kirkpatrick, particularly as she is one of the people who has been looking after our planter while Nursery is closed:

“Thank you so much, what great gardening skills. So pleased to see you both helping us out at the planter , it’s been very hot and the plants need lots of water to drink to keep them healthy and growing. Well done “

Violeta impressed Mrs. Kirkpatrick too:

“Well done washing the dishes and helping your mum. You could come and help me If you have time?” and (in her princess dress) “I love this photo you look beautiful”

Mrs. J. Carruthers also loved the photos of our planter being cared for:

“How kind James and Lily for looking after our planter. The flowers will have been needing a drink with all of this hot weather. Well done.”

Mrs. Carruthers was also delighted to see the photos of Violeta so busy at home:

“Wow Violeta. You have been very busy at home doing lots of different things. It’s great to see you being kind and helping to do the dishes. Well done.”
