Dino Day

As promised, we have lots of photos of the afternoon children enjoying their recent visit to Dino Park. Digging for dinosaur bones, the enchanted fairy forest, bouncy castle, the story of the “stinkosaurus” and many other super activities certainly kept everyone amused. Hopefully you can see by the lovely smiles that a great time was had by all. Thank you again to those parents who gave up their time to help us – it was very kind of you.

Dino Smiles

A trip on a bus, exciting activities at Dino Park and crisps and juice in the sun all add up to happy children and grown-ups. The super weather last week helped to make our trip to Dino Park a lovely end of year outing and everyone seemed to go home tired but happy. Thank you to all those parents who accompanied us – we appreciate your help. Here is a selection of photos from the morning trip. Afternoon photos will be posted soon.

Buddy Comment

Cerys, a Primary 6 buddy, has been looking at our photos and she was pleased to see that Conan had recently been awarded a certificate:

“well done . I like spending time with connan”

She’s enjoying their daily walk too:

“i like doing the daily km with connan every day”

Thank you Cerys for taking the time to comment. You are doing a great job as a buddy.

Great Buddies

Two of our families have been enjoying our recent photos. Callum’s family was impressed with the daily kilometre:

“Well done Tobias and Callum. Keep up the good work!”

Summer’s Mum liked the photo of Summer with her buddy:

“Summer often talks about her buddy and enjoys spending time with her!”

She has also been keeping an eye on our posts about the butterflies:

“Summer has enjoyed watching the butterflies grow and often sings the song.”

Thank you for taking time to leave us comments. The buddies are certainly doing a super job.

Daily Kilometre

Children about to move to Primary 1 at Hecklegirth have been developing their fitness with their Primary 6 buddies over the last few weeks. Initially they began by walking round the school field once and, as they have progressed, many are now able to walk three times round the field which Primary 6 measured to be a kilometre. Everyone taking part has improved the distance they have been able to cover so well done to all of you.

Summer Sunshine

The summer sunshine has been encouraging the children to spend lots of time outdoors lately and, as you can see, some have been taking a break from their play to have an extra drink. We would like to remind everyone to please ensure that the children have sun cream on when they come to Nursery at this time of year. Let’s hope that we have lots more sunny days for the rest of the term.
