Mrs. Kirkpatrick has left a message for Summer:
“Wow super hula hooping, wish I was as good as you. Very well done
Mrs Kirkpatrick”
I think that we are all wishing we had such great skills Summer.
She is also impressed with Lola’s great work at home, saying ” Lovely to see you helping” when washing dishes at home. Mrs. Kirkpatrick also loves the photo of Lola making cakes:
“Wow those cakes look yummy well done Lola 👏🏻👏🏻 Mrs Kirkpatrick”
Lola certainly looked like she has been very busy and is learning lots of skills.
Freya’s family has left a message for Mrs. Irving:
“Loving your weekly musical updates Mrs Irving!”
Glad your enjoying the musical videos. We are looking forward to Mrs. Irving bringing in her accordion to Nursery to help us at singing time.
Today is Uniform Day for Hecklegirth which is a little different from our fun non-uniform days of the past. Here are a few of our staff taking part and looking like they are all happy and ready for their normal working day. Mrs. Mackay’s and Mrs. Carruthers’ daughters have even joined in at home with their own uniforms.
We would love to see photos of any of our children who may be taking part today. Please send a photo to the school address below and it will be forwarded to us to share with others on our blog.

Miss Fleming has left a message for Summer as she was so impressed with her skills:
“Well done Summer, amazing Hula Hooping skills! I am very jealous, I need to get practising.”
I think you might need to be giving some of the staff a few tips Summer to help us all get to your standard.
Mrs. Irving loves your video Summer and has left you a message.
“Go Summer! What a Champion Hula-hooper you are! Thank you for sharing your video. Like you, I’ve had fun practicing my hula hoop skills during lockdown. My 74 year old mum has also been hula-hooping for her daily exercise! What a brilliant sport for all ages to enjoy 😊”
I wonder if Mrs. Irving and her Mum are as good as you Summer? Keep up the good work all of you.
We would like to share this super video of Summer practising her hula hoop at home. What amazing skills! Very well done Summer and thank you so much for sending us your video. It’s lovely to see you.
Keep sending us photos and videos boys and girls, we love to see what you are doing, as will your friends.
We have enjoyed some great non-uniform days in the past at Hecklegirth so, for a bit of fun, we thought that tomorrow, Friday 15th May, we would have a Uniform Day. If anyone would like to take part and wear their Nursery uniform tomorrow, it would be great if you could send us a photo to the school address

and we can share the photos on our blog.
As well as sharing books together, the children could have fun developing their reading skills while out enjoying their daily exercise. There are so many letters, numbers and signs in the world around us so they can keep their eyes peeled for lots of examples.
• What numbers can you find? What number does your house have? Can you find that number on another door?
• Some of the children showed great interest in clocks last term. Are there any clocks outside in Annan?
• What about cars? Can you find your age on a registration plate? Or a letter that is in your name?
• Are there any symbols on road signs or letters on the roads?
• What letter does your name start with? Can you find it on a sign anywhere?
• Do any of the shops in Annan have a logo as well as a name on their sign?
You could take photos of all the letters, numbers and signs that you find when out and about then talk about your findings when you get home. You may well be surprised how many symbols and signs there are in the world around us.
