Balancing And Jumping

The children’s gross motor skills are one of the areas of focus in outdoor play and this little group of children showed increasing control of balancing and jumping, as well as turn-taking skills, as they enjoyed an obstacle course in the garden. It is great to see their perseverance when activities are challenging but they are determined to try their best.

Our New Tunnel

Evan W.’s family has been looking at the photos of the children exploring our new pipe:

‘I liked watching the tunnel coming in. It was fun going through the tunnel with all the people’ – Evan.

We are pleased that you like our new equipment Evan. It has certainly been lots of fun. Thank you for leaving us a comment.

Thank You

We would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs. Brenda Fleming of JDP Limited who kindly arranged for us to take delivery of a huge pipe to enhance our outdoor play area. The children were very excited to watch its delivery earlier this week and have begun to explore different ways to use it. We look forward to lots of fun times ahead enjoying our new resource so thank you very much to Mrs. Fleming and her company.

Special Books

We hope that you have enjoyed looking through the children’s special books with them at home. We would like to remind you to please return them today, Wednesday 1st May, along with the comment sheet which has been added to your child’s book as part of our ongoing evaluation.
Thank you to those who have already taken the time to share their thoughts with us about their child’s progress. We greatly value your views.

Planting Seeds

Before the holidays the Raindrop Room planted sunflower seeds and learned about how to help them grow. The seeds seemed to germinate very quickly and have all gone home now in their little pots so we look forward to hearing about some super sunflowers or even seeing a photo once they begin to grow. Fingers crossed that they can be planted outdoors and turn into a lovely burst of sunshine in a corner of everyone’s garden.
