As part of our learning about Autumn at the end of term, some of the children looked at the work of the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo. We discussed his “Autumn” portrait and learned how he used food to depict the seasons as faces then we used various materials to make our own portraits. As you can see, some of the children have been inspired by learning about this artist and have produced some super work.
Robin: an artist can be a boy or a girl. The artist is Arcimboldo. He made pictures with food.
Kyla: I’ve made eyes with carrots and I’ve made hair and sweet banana for my nose.
