Before the mid term break we said goodbye to Grace and wished her well in her new adventure.
We made her a card to remember us by and had a little goodbye party in class.

We had such fun today as we began making our castles!
Thank you for all the boxes sent in. We have been kind friends and shared our resources.
Many of us have been looking at stories of 10 and how number stories of 20 and 30 follow similar patterns. Use your knowledge of these number stories to play this game:

Pull back the catapult and finish the number story to hit the castle.
We shared a lot of lovely things made at home and brought into school today. Well done children!
Congratulations to our medal/trophy winners in karate and football.
Miss Thomson set P2 a challenge on Wednesday to make a castle. It needed to include a specific number of rods of different colours. It was great fun and the children added the value of the rods by putting them into the number track.
What a busy day we had!! I expect we will all sleep well tonight!
We started the day with some dancing:
We played ” Follow my Leader”:
and whizzed around on the scooters:
Next it was time for football:
And all this took place before playtime!
Later this morning we played games outside, organised by Mr McCormack :
Then indoors for some calming yoga:
and a spot of gymnastics:
This afternoon we enjoyed some Scottish country dancing with P3 and P7:
We ended our day with a run/walk:
Great fun had by all!
Today we learned about the clothes people wore a long time ago. There was a big difference between the clothes the rich people wore and those worn by servants and other workers.
We dressed up and listened to what Miss Arbuckle taught us. Then we dressed a paper character in an olden times outfit.
We also learned about coats of arms with Mrs Taylor. We made badges to decorate our castles and shields. Each coat of arms tells everyone about ourselves, and if put on a shield means that a knight can be identified when hidden in his armour.
We enjoyed listening to the guitar playing:
We were creative again this week with the materials from the container.
