We used natural materials to make 2D shapes.

It’s fun making huge letters.

It was quite tricky milking the cow!

Where do these foods grow?

We found out which fruit and vegetables grow above ground and which grow below ground. We looked for clues- the dirty ones must have grown below ground. We made the pea pods pop and enjoyed the peas inside.

Then we made pictures to show where foods grow.

Which shapes tessilate?

This means which tiles fit together without gaps?

It was fun finding out!

All children have been chatting to Mrs Taylor and selecting their targets for this term , to help them be great learners.

We learn to play together, we are creative, we practise cutting and sticking skills and all have FUN!

Every Friday, we chat about what we have learned this week and have  a chance to teach Mrs Taylor something new….it may be a fact, dance, skill, song, etc.

On our walk we looked for 2D shapes which fit together well without spaces in between.

We discovered that rectangles fit together well and back in class we put rectangles together to make a tile pattern for the farmhouse kitchen floor.

Then we looked at which other shapes fit together well.
