We love our new books and the cushions and floor mat for our reading area.
We can take the cushions and relax anywhere when reading a book.
We can read with a soft toy too.

Primary 2 – you are real farmers!!
We welcomed Carol back into the class. Having arranged our farm visit she came back into class to tell us more about cereal crops.
She showed us wheat and spoke about which foods are made from wheat.
She showed us oats and we used some to make porridge. It was yummy!
She also helped us make butter- we had to shake cream quite hard! We washed some potatoes, cooked them and put our own butter on them. More delicious food! Thank you Carol!
Time to practise the letter e and all the other letters we have looked at this term.
We made these models of tractors. We needed to follow the lines carefully when cutting, fold along the dotted lines and stick tabs together. Well done boys and girls!
Well done and thank you for telling us about the medals you won!
Last week we continued our adventures creating new play scenarios.
When we write o we need to start at the top of the letter.
We enjoyed exploring a variety of maths activities today.
Some of us worked out the value of the plastic rods.
Others practiced ordering numbers.
Other children played the turtle game where we need to remember where numbers are. This helps improve our concentration as well as our number skills.
We had an opportunity this week to show and tell.
We learned about conkers and how to tell the age of a tree.
We enjoyed more home made puppets.
