What a lovely year we have had. Thank you to all parents for your support this year, and P2 thank you for such fun times!

Unfortunately due to technical issues, I have been unable to post photos for a couple of weeks, hence the lack of posts. All sorted now.

Happy holidays everyone!

We enjoyed football, tennis, keeping fit with scarves in class, scooters, dance and games.

Today P2 enjoyed more visits.
Mrs Ross explained what nursery staff do.
P2 also had visits from virtual reality specialists, a firefighter and the police.

Today we had a visit from a police officer, a gymnast, a sports coach, a head teacher and a nurse.

We also played  some games where we thought about the skills needed in some careers and guessed which career our friend has had selected.

Today we enjoyed visits from a doctor, a personal trainer, a wrestling coach, a mechanic, a plumber and an IT specialist.

They told us many interesting facts about their jobs and answered our questions.

Today we had a new challenge: to find out information from a book and share it with others. We remembered the information, wrote it in our own words and then read our sentence/s to the class.

We had great fun this afternoon decorating coat hangers to sell at our stall on Saturday. We used our knowledge of symmetry to create attractive patterns.

We will also have a lucky cup game. If you find a “jewel” hidden in the sand in your cup, you win a prize.

We are all looking forward to Saturday!

We looked at a painting showing shipbuilding and thought about the sights, noises and  smells that would have been experienced at a shipbuilding yard.

We enjoyed looking at the whaling exhibits.

The weapons used to catch whales were huge and looked very heavy.

We saw bottles of whale oil, a whale eardrum, models of whaling ships, a narwhal tusk and pictures whalers made on whale’s teeth in their spare time.

Having seen all the heavy equipment on board HMS Unicorn , we were puzzled as to how it manged to float!!

We used our learning from class, that ships need to be a certain shape and have air in their design.

We took play dough and experimented making it into boat shapes which would float.
