We can make 100
We we have been working with the 100 square numeracy map. We know that 100 is made up of 10 groups of 10!!!
Independent learners
Today we used the school changing rooms before our PE lesson. We were amazing! We can be organised and independent!
Author Readings
We love listening to real authors reading the lovely books they have written! Maybe one day someone in p1 will be an Author when they are a bit bigger!!!!

There’s a Bear on my Chair
Here we are sharing the story of There’s a Bear on my Chair with our p7 buddies. They have great storyteller voices! Together we took part in a mystery word hunt and we also spotted lots of rhyming words. We had great fun sorting the rhyming words from the others and sticking them on Mr Polar Bears big tummy.
Wonderful Writing

We can even write whole words using our ‘special friend’ sounds!
Buddy Working
We have been making story maps with our big buddies. We read The Hare and the Tortoise from our Bookbug Bags and then used our learning to sequence story events.
Number work
Some mental maths and numicon number work from today. We were looking at ‘All about the number 8’ and we were working in pairs investigating and solving problems with the Numicon tiles.
In P1 we love sensory play experiences. Here we are getting our hands messy in our Pumpkin Patch Tray. Counting seeds, cutting up and digging around was lots of fun!
We also love our Firework playdough and water tray!!!
Making our BookBug Open Afternoon Invitations
We had fun creating invitations to send home to our parents. We used some of the book characters we love to decorate the front and even addressed the envelopes all by ourselves. We hope you can come to our Picture book Award Ceremony!!!
