Today we had our first class trial session out on the scooters. After some safety tips and getting kitted up, we were ready to go!!!! Everyone was amazing and with every time around the track we got better at balancing, stearing, controlling our scooters and being careful of others around us.
We worked very hard during literacy today. After some sound work and spelling we focused on understanding the story in more detail during reading. Look at us working with our partners to read with a good storyteller voice! In writing we impressed Miss Thompson with beautiful sentence work.
Today we began our block of PE learning focused on athletics skills and events. We worked hard using our developing throwing and aiming skills in a Shot Put lesson and competition. It was great fun and here are our champions…..
P6 came to share the first of their 4 picture books with us this week. It was called Alan’s Big Scary Teeth and is about an alligator who learns to use his big sharp set of false teeth for good instead of scaring his jungle friends. We hunted for ‘wow’ words and then voted on our favourites. We made our own moving versions of Alan the Alligator and also wrote ideas to help Alan become a better friend to others.
Before our 2 Weeks holiday we had fun taking part in a fun Easter themed homework project along with P2 and P3. We invited all of the other classes to see our wonderful and imaginative Easter baskets and hats. Everyone was very impressed with our hardwork. Here are some photos of the day….
A big thank you to all of the grown-ups who helped us to complete our project 👍🏼
We have been learning about the real meaning of Easter. We created some tape-resist artwork to display in our classroom to help remind us of our learning about Jesus.
