P1- Numbery Challenges
Look at us investigating number in a fun way. we have been learning about the 100 square and how it is full of interesting patterns. We spotted how all of the numbers in the columns share the same end digit. We practised our counting in 10s and tried to spot 10 more and 10 less as well as 1 more and one less. We guessed the hidden numbers and used the spinner to investigate 2 digit numbers in a range of ways. Some of use even spotted that the numbers with 2 digits the same make a big long diagonal line across the 100 square…. amazing work p1!!!
P1- Imaginative and inventive play
We love working together to create fabulous things in our learning and play. Here are a few examples of our imaginative creations this week- an enormous duplo model with so much detail and input from many different people to built their own ideas into a larger group design and some creative dens along with a camp fire to cook on and keep cosy!
P1- All things Measure
We have loved learning all about measure in our play and mathematics lessons this past week. We know all about length, weight and capacity and enjoyed trying lots of games and play activities to explore, develop, extend and share our learning.
P1- Double Trouble
We have been working hard to learn our doubles to 12 and are getting really speedy at remembering them and can even show our thinking using the Numicon to help!
P1- Fit Thursday Fun
We had a very active and fun day for Fit Thursday. We took part in boxing skills, a fitness class, yoga, dance and football. Here are a few snaps of us in action below…
