Well done to Peter, who was our Star Pupil this week. His award was for having lovely manners, always being polite and being kind.     This week in Numeracy we have been learning about hundredths.   In Literacy we wrote Cinquain poems about ocean animals. In Outdoor Learning we created a timetable for a school day in lockdown.   In RE we continued to learn about The Beatitudes.     In our Ocean IDL we started our power points. We also learned more about the different layers of the ocean and we created our own pictures using Activ Inspire.     In Digital Technologies we learned to to save our work in a specific folder in Seesaw a nd how to do a task an upload our work onto it.   Justin from Active Schools worked with us every day this week on our football skills. We also worked on this in PE.     In French we learned about the months of the year.

This week in Numeracy we have been learning about decimals. In Maths we worked in groups to make symmetrical pictures using natural materials. In Literacy we learned to write Cinquain poems. We also learned about relative pronouns and relative clauses. In RE we learned about The Beatitudes. We worked with our learning partners to match The Beatitudes to their meanings. In our Ocean IDL we researched ocean water quality. We also learned about the different layers of the oceans and the animals that live in each layer. In Digital Technologies we learned to upload pictures to Seesaw and add captions and sound to them. In PE we continued to work on our football skills. In French we learned about the days of the week. Well done to joseph who was this week’s Star Pupil.  

This week in Numeracy we have been continuing to work on rounding numbers to the nearest 10 000 and 100 000. In Literacy in Outdoor Learning we did Create Something Great for our Long Read. We also wrote nature poems. We used post its to write words and phrases of things we saw and heard outside and then we put them together to create a poem.   In RE we learned about the Seven Sacraments. In our Ocean IDL we used the internet to research for information on ocean habitats. We also learned about fishing and overfishing. In Digital Technologies we continued to learn to use Seesaw.  In PE we continued to work on our football skills. In Health we learned about empathy and gave examples of how we can show empathy towards others. In French we learned about greetings. Well done to Josie who was this week’s Star Pupil.

This week in Numeracy we have been learning to round numbers to the nearest 10 000 and 100 000. In Literacy we continued to work on modal verbs and we also wrote an acrostic poem about an ocean animal. In Outdoor Learning we did a nature alphabet. We also used natural materials to create  a picture for our Long Read. In our Ocean IDL we used the internet to research ocean food chains and webs. We also worked with our learning partners to create our own ocean food webs.     In RE we listened to 2 Bible stories – The Transfiguration Of Jesus and The Baptism Of Jesus. In Digital Technologies we learned how to use Seesaw. In PE we continued to work on our football skills and we played the game Steal!
