Welcome to P6!

This week and last week in P6S we have been reading Ali Pasha, a book about World War One.  We have also been reading Private Peaceful, which is also about war.  We looked at how Michael Morpurgo had written the first chapter, which isn’t in chronological order and we wrote our own memories out of chronological order, in the style of Michael Morpurgo.

We have found out that we are doing a play about the First World War for the public to watch.  This will happen on the 10th October.

We have learned about our classmates by playing Getting to Know You bingo.

We have been learning about place value in maths – practising using thousands, hundreds, tens and units.  We used textbooks and played some games to practise using place value.
