On Tuesday we had a visit from Lizzie Finnigan who is an author.   She read Button’s Big Adventure  to all of the primary ones.  We had lots of fun and really enjoyed the story.

On Wednesday we did our story writing based on Button’s Big Adventure.  We thought of lots of adjectives to describe how Button felt when he saw the girl with the daffodil coat again.

On Thursday we made cvc words (bin, din, fin, tin)  using play dough, magnetic letters and by writing them.

I think you will agree that we all looked fantastic in our spotty/Pudsey  outfits.  We had lots of fun raising money for a very important cause.

In maths this we week we worked with a partner to create patterns.

This week we have had lots of fun learning  lots of new songs during the Rookie Rockstars programme.

The Rookie Rockstars Primary schools Programme is an initiative that was created to give children the opportunity to work with professional musicians and singers to learn original songs, record a CD and perform in a concert. The programme is designed to embrace the 4 capacities of Curriculum for Excellence by encouraging pupils to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.

We have been learning about pattern and numbers to 30 this week.

We continue to work hard to learn our new sounds.

Outdoor learning

Today we got to taste and smell herbs that we grew on our school grounds.
