At the beginning of this session, all children in Cowden Class applied for a position as a member of one of our Improving Our School pupil groups.
This is the Literacy Group: The Supreme Book Spreaders – they are working towards achieving our Reading School Accreditation
This is the Charity fundraising group: The Money Brains – so far they have raised money for Save the Children through organising Christmas Jumper Day
This is the Children’s Rights Advocates group. They are researching Rights Respecting Schools and have recently shared their learning about Anti Bullying – check out their presentation below.
This is the Big Think Tank – they have been working alongside parent volunteers to devise a Family Learning event; the group have a small percentage of the school Pupil Equity Fund to develop Family Learning
This is the Nurtures of Nature group. They are keeping on top of all things Eco. They recently organised a poster competition, alongside the Community Council, to encourage our local people to pick up their dog poo
These are our WoW Ambassadors – we are partnered with Living Streets Scotland to encourage our pupils to Walk to School once a week
