At the beginning of each term pupils will receive a Focus for Learning sheet, detailing their learning in Numeracy and Literacy for the term. As well as providing information on what will be taught in class, the Focus for Learning sheet will suggest possible activities to support learning at home.
Pupils will be given a jotter that they may use to record any Home Learning activities they undertake. As you will see from the examples on this website, pupils choose to practise their literacy and numeracy in many different ways. However, not all Home Learning must be recorded! Some pupils have practised measuring weight through baking, have retold a story by putting on a play at home, have developed their ICT skills by researching an aspect of the class topic and creating a PowerPoint – these are just a few examples!
Each week pupils will be given the chance to share any Home Learning they wish and teachers will give feedback on a rotational basis.
