Specific Level Workforce

Specific level workforce is defined within Education as staff in promoted posts who have a regulatory duty for child protection.  They are sometimes referred to as the Child Protection co-ordinator

  • Head of establishment in ELC or Primary school
  • Depute headteacher in Secondary school
  • Promoted staff who can stand in for the head of establishment in their absence

Before signing up for any of the training offered please take time to read through the learning outcomes booklet and discuss this with your line manager/supervisor if the training you wish to attend is relevant to your; role & responsibility, needs of the service and your own professional development or all three. For some of the training there may be pre course reading to completed and we would encourage you to complete this to be able to get the most from the learning offered.

Practitioner forums have been included for those colleagues who may have attended the original training and would like to meet with other trained practitioners to share best practice and support from peers.
