What are P6M learning?

Homophones

P6M have been learning about homophones.

Homophones are words that sound the same but are spelt differently and have different meanings.

For example, we learnt that ‘there’ is for when it’s about a place or location like in ‘Look over there!’. Their is used to showed possession, something belonging to someone like ‘That’s their dog’ and they’re is a contraction, short for they are like ‘They’re over there with their dog’.

We used this song to help us:

We also looked at lots of different examples of homophones like meet and meat or here and hear. Can you think of any others?
