P6M Term 4 Newsletter

Welcome back! I hope you all had a lovely holiday and are ready for a busy final term of P6!

This term we will be extending our mental map and sense of place though our topic ‘Where am I?’.  We will be learning how to read, interpret and create our own maps as well as how land in our local area is used. This will involve orienteering, studying mapping of Stonehaven and Scotland as well as Europe and the wider World. We will also be investigating the advantages and disadvantages of how land is used and how this impacts on the community.

As before, there is more information on the learning being covered this term on the attached Curriculum for Excellence Term 4 Overview. This shows you Curriculum for Excellence experiences and outcomes, a bit of information about how this will be covered in class, and suggests some ideas you can use at home to support this learning.
