    1. Hello, I’ve emailed you the logins so hopefully Leon is ready to get cracking. Let us know if any issues. Thanks

  1. Jacob and I wrote our own little poem this morning about our adventure on our bikes for ‘PE’.

    Our Adventure

We went on an adventure up the hill,
Looking for fun that would thrill,
    Cycling around on our bikes,
    Seeing all the wonderful sights.

    Up next to the windmill,
With fresh air, up so high,
We had some hot chocolate and looked up at the sky.

The world is in chaos and it’s a scary time,
    Soon it will be over,
    And everyone will be fine,

We are getting home schooled and it can be hard,
    But we can stay positive,
And spend time in the yard.

The weather is getting better and we are hopping soon,
That we will be back to school and sing a lovely tune,

My brother and I are playing with his cars,
    Zoom zoom, broom broom,
    Running across the room.

    By Emily and Jacob!

    1. That’s super, Emily and Jacob! You even managed to get some onomatopoeia in your poem too. I’m glad you were able to get outdoors for a cycle ride. I’m the same – looking forward to getting back to school and seeing everyone again.

    1. Good morning Annabelle! I heard an Annabelle get a shout out on Joe Wicks workout this morning, was wondering if it was you? Mrs Flockton and I are working on getting our email addresses out to you so you can share your sway journal with us ☺️https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/as/methlickspring/wp-admin/edit-comments.php#comments-form

  2. Hi everyone I have just done a spring acrostic poem

    Sleeping calves
    Popping buds on the trees
    Rising flowers
    Insects crawling across trees
Noisy children playing in the sun
Gorgeous lambs skipping in the feild

  3. The Walk

One day we went for a walk,
And we had a great talk.

    The weather was sunny,
But we didn’t see any bunnies.

We walked further and further away from our house,
And we never heard a squeak from a mouse.

We breathed in the fresh air,
And got a big scare from a bear.

    We walked past some trees,
    Which were not in threes.

    We listened to the birds,
But we didn’t hear any words.

We could see the fields were brown,
But they are far from town.

The clouds are fluffy and white,
And all around us is light.

    We walked two miles,
    What a trial.

We can feel the stones under our feet,
We think it’s time for a seat!

    Erin Hewitt – aged 7

    1. Erin, that is an EGG-cellent poem! Well done for managing to make it rhyme – it’s not an easy thing to do.

    2. Erin I am very impressed with your poem, it is amazing! You did really well with rhymes (it is not easy) and made me feel like I was having that walk.

    3. What a fantastic poem you’ve written, Erin! I’ve been missing our Revolting Rhymes so this has just made my day 😊
