Robert Burns

On the 26th of January it was Robbie Burns day. The school had a great time on Friday watching highland dancers and listening to the bagpipes. The school also enjoyed tasting the lovely haggise oat cakes, and shortbread. I intervied Blair who played bagpipes for the school. He  has been playing the bagpipes for 3 years altogether, 2 years on the Chanter and 1 year on the pipes. Blair became intersted in the bagpipes through the pipeband and he thought he would like to have a go. He enjoyes playing the bagpipes but the hardest thing is blowing into the bagpipes.

P6-7/5 have been working on a project. The project is called VIB(Very Important Bear).  It is all about Buddy the teddy bear wanting to become a film star.  We all went into groups, there are 4 groups: Take 6, Mystical Movie Studios, Cinema  Brothers and Pixelate.  Each group  has made a film. The films are called: Buddy Bewitched, Buddy Timetravels, Buddy Saves Christmas and Buddy Saves The Princess.  We have all wrote letters to the people we wanted to invite to our Oscar Night. The Oscar Night is the final part of our project, the films will be played, the awards will be handed out, we will be singing and there will be tea, coffee, juice, popcorn and biscuits. There will also be a raffle.

P 6 trip to library

Recently the Primary 6’s went to a trip to the library in Turriff. They had a wonderful time. At the library a person who works there told them about an app where you can look at different books that are at the library. If you have the app it will tell you what the library opening times and if there are any events going to be happening.
