On Wednesday the partitions between the classrooms came down and P5 and P4 enjoyed an afternoon of poetry, song and dance to celebrate the birth of Robbie Burns. The haggis was piped in and addressed by children from P5/5. P4/6 recited the Selkirk grace and then it was time for juice and shortbread before the competition began. Each class had worked really hard to learn their poems, and all of the finalists did a fantastic job. The afternoon ended with a performance of Highland dancing, followed by Auld Lang Syne.
