Today the whole school watched a fantastic production of Dick Whittington. The actors did an amazing job, I lost count of the number of scenery and costume changes they had to do! Both staff and pupils had a great time and we all hope that Dick is feeling better after his little mishap!
I thought it was one of the best ever performances we’ve seen at Markethill. I had a great time laughing at the actors and my favourite part was when Captain Birdseye came to sit next to Mrs Dalgarno and put his arm around her.
I have to agree with Mrs Dyrlaga, this was indeed the best pantomime I have seen in school (and I have seen quite a few!!)The costumes were very good . I enjoyed the singing but I’m afraid I didn’t recognise the modern songs! i think the funniest part was the ‘technical hitch’ when Dick slipped on the floor making the rest of the cast burst out laughing and forget their lines. Like true proffessionals they did very well – ‘Oh yes they did……’
I love the bit when Spew and Captain Hawks Eye were fighting. I enjoyed the bit when the cat ate the mouse.
