Keeping our children and young people safe in a digital world is of utmost importance. In this series we will look at how you can address this within your school and class.
22nd November
In this initial session we will look at the support your school can get to create a solid foundation on which to build your online safety around. We will discuss:
- Roles and responsibilities of schools
- 360 Safe Scotland
- Safer Schools App
23rd January
In the second session we will look at two resources that you can use in class to support learning and teaching around staying safe online.
- Internet Safety Day
- CyberSprinters
15th May
During this final session in the series we shall devote our time looking at two excellent resources:
- Google’s Be Internet Legends resource. This resource is based around 5 pillars which teach children skills to be safe and confident online. There is also a digital wellbeing module and an associated game to practise the skills learned called Interland.
- ThinkuKnow. How to access training and resources from the National Crime Agency’s CEOP.
