People Smart

People Smarts are all about, well…people. If you are a member of a family or have a friend, then you have People Smarts.

If you like working, learning, helping or being with other people at times, then you’re using this intelligence.

There’s going to be a lot of repetition in the examples here, as they are all from the other smart sections, but here we see that through other projects and endeavours, the students have worked together, improving their People Smarts:

Working With Others
Here are some pictures of students working collaboratively on their epic Santa’s Grotto Minecraft builds:

Joining In a Collaborative Performance
Here’s the sneaky clip of a song from the show again:

Being Part of a Team
I’m really milking this photo, but participating in a team sport helps with the People Smarts too:

Buddy System
We have a few Buddy Systems in school. One of the most successful has been Buddy Reading, where pupils from the Upper Stages are partnered with students from P1-3 to do paired reading each week.

There are lots of benefits to this, People Smarts being one of them. Having this system in place also helped our School become a Scottish Book Trust-certified Reading School earlier this year.
