Red campion and poppies have grown from seed we sowed last year.It’s been a dry month so we have worked hard at watering to help our plants flourish.Our potatoes are doing well. Weeding helps them get more nutrients and water when it rains.This comfrey patch is providing food for pollinators and will make excellent compost.
Nico’s clean-opus created in response to the Keep Scotland Beautiful live litter lesson on 21st March. This nemesis of litter was created when an innocent octopus was caught in an oil spill and merged with cleaning equipment. Now he is determined to save other marine life from a similar fate.
We used recyclates to create sea creatures for this display to raise awareness of the harm caused by plastic waste in the sea. At assembly, we shared our learning with our friends from other classes to encourage them to cut plastic waste.
We did the Practical Action activity in groups. Each group had to choose the best option for renewable energy for the communities on Moja Island. We applied our map reading skills and used our knowledge about renewable energy to decide on the best solution for each location.
