Our School Garden

On Wednesday 5th of June 2019 Braemar school saw their garden and it wasn’t looking that nice. So we decided we should  decorate it.

One weekend, people from Mar Lodge came to here to cut down a chunk of fence and place a big line of fence. The teachers  brought some plants in  that weren’t in the best shape but our challenge was to make them good by the end of the term. We split the plants evenly and then each team went out one by one to go and plant their plants. Mrs Farquharson came out to supervise us planting them. Now every day someone will go out from their team at lunchtime or break time to water the plants.

I really liked planting the plants and I liked watering them I’m looking forward to seeing what they will be like when they’re grown fully.

Activities with Crathie School

On Thursday the 6th of June 2019 sports-day was cancelled because of the weather but Crathie School still came to our school because there bus was still booked so Mrs Munro put us into six groups off six. There were six activities- three in the hall and three in the classroom ,which was completely empty. The games were hurdles, throw Hulu hoop on cone, hockey, egg and spoon, bean bag throw and basketball hoop. After that we did a sports quiz and a sheet that the whole alphabet on it we had name a sport for each one we do. We would get a point but if another group have the same sport it would be no points so better to go for more unpopular sports.

1st. group 3

2nd. Group 4

3rd. Group 1

After all of the games they told us the scores then we all got certificates  then Crathie School got the bus back to Crathie.

It was fun and exciting.

Rm 2 are doing a project about bugs.  They have some Caterpillars in their class. They got them on Monday  the 3rd June and they were only 7 mm long and today they are 2cm long. The reason they have Caterpillars is that it is their project.  They said that they are enjoying their project.

MP Visit

On Friday the 31st of may 2019 an MP called Andrew Bowie came to our school because a while ago we wrote him letters asking why he didn’t go to the meeting about global warming. We all prepared questions to ask him about global warming or about being an MP. Andrew  was very cheerful and he answered all of our questions clearly. It was very interesting and  everyone payed attention. He said he didn’t go to the global warming meeting because he was at a different meeting with the prime minister Theresa May. Some people’s questions were not answered because he answered them while answering someone else’s question.  Everyone enjoyed the visit.
