Braemar School and Nursery

In Braemar school we are learning Scottish dancing and line dancing with Mrs Baker. We go in the hall to learn all types of dances like the Fuzzy duck slide and The Hawaiian dance and American dances and we do the floss and the rainbow floss by learning the steps each week on Thursday.  For warm ups we do little dances to get ready for a big dance.First we listen to the music and then we dance with it.   Our  other club is TENNIS!  We learn to  hit a ball with our rackets and we get better every week and might get to go to festival. We vote who is the 3 best players and at the end the  3 best get a trophy or a medal. 

At loose parts masterclass this week some of the people made a kite with tin foil and it looked like a dragon.

Some people made a ping pong  run.

This week we were using leaves to create wax resist artwork. We rubbed crayon over the leaf and then over-painted with water colour paints.

A reminder that the Loose Parts Group are still looking for items for their sessions.

As the projects progresses the pupils will add more ideas, but for now  here is a list of some things which they would like to use:

**Plastic pipes, guttering, cable reels, nets, milk or bread crates, trays, baskets, pallets, steering wheels, string, bungee cords, guy ropes, clamps, pegs  or clips**

The Loose Parts Group

Room 2 have been learning in some really fun ways!

 Room 2 Have really enjoyed their learning recently. By Kaitlin

We have been looking at labels on food and drinks. We found out that some information is required by law. We made posters, videos and a Sway to share what we found out.

In Rm 3 we are  finding out about the different food groups. Can you add all the food items to the correct group?

The first day back to school was the best and guess  what  we got three new students and three new p4s . the playground looks great and it is fun to be back.
