Loose Parts Play

A reminder that the Loose Parts Group are still looking for items for their sessions.

As the projects progresses the pupils will add more ideas, but for now  here is a list of some things which they would like to use:

**Plastic pipes, guttering, cable reels, nets, milk or bread crates, trays, baskets, pallets, steering wheels, string, bungee cords, guy ropes, clamps, pegs  or clips**

Many thanks in advance.

Welcome back!

What a busy few days we’ve had! Lots of fun and lots of learning, making new friends and getting ready for the term ahead. We welcomed Vasi, Brian and Alexis into the school this week. Our pupils helped the new children to feel at home in their new class, along with helping the new Primary 1 pupils settle in.

Our Assembly this morning had some ‘interesting’ visitors from Nursery. Some of the children came along with their stick insects and explained how they look after them. Well done Charlotte, you explained really well. I hope the stick insects enjoy their weekend with you!

All of the children have chosen how they would like to help support our school community, by putting their names down for our new committees which will meet for the first time on Monday. Our Pupil Council, Digital Leaders and Eco Committee will work on a number of exciting projects over the coming months. Watch this space for further information!

Outdoor learning about shape

We worked well together to find our shapes in the playground and then attempted to make our shape from natural materials! This was easier for some than others but we didn’t give up.  We are learning to identify, name and describe 3D and 2D shapes.
