This week Rm 3 received their first message from our Book Penpal, Lexi Rees, author of Eternal Seas. She told us that she’s currently reading  The Accidental Time Traveller by Janis Mackay, and she gave us a challenge. She asked us to write about a time travelling mechanism- how might someone travel through time? For our ‘Connect 4’ comprehension task we talked about all the time-travelling  ideas we’ve read  about or seen in films- Dr Who’s Tardis, Back to the Future’s DeLorean car, Biff, Chip and Kipper’s Magic Key and lots more.

Then we set to work. A few people managed to get their ideas onto the blog this afternoon, but the rest will follow early next term. Hopefully Lexi will find time to read a few of the ideas- they might even give her ideas for her next book!
