End of term.

During this week, as it is the last week there will be end of term assemblies, the p7s are away at Glenshee until Thursday and teachers are meeting their new classes.

The nursery enjoyed a fun day last Wednesday, with a fascinating visit from Mr Bug. They saw and got to handle many creatures including a snake and a giant tortoise. This was followed by a great time bouncing on the inflatable snake!

Both Primary 4 classes enjoyed having a fun session at the swimming pool today (26th June) and on Wednesday they will have a walk along the Deveron followed by a picnic and a play in the park.

Jubilee Celebrations

The nursery took part in celebrations for the queens jubilee. Children and staff dressed up in red, white and blue and wore crowns that they made themselves. They played party games, and enjoyed food and dancing. Parents were able to join in with the celebrations too. The nursery raised £110 for The Archie foundation.
Primary 1, 2 and 3 classes also wore royal outfits and crowns to celebrate the Jubilee. They all took part in a royal parade.

The Gordon Primary PTA generously gave every pupil in the school a Diamond Jubilee commemorative coin as lasting reminder of the Diamond Jubilee and their days at Gordon Primary. Thank you!

Chinese New Year

This year is the year of the dragon. The nursery celebrated the Chinese New Year on the 24th January by putting on their own dragon dance. They also danced with streamers and played musical instruments.

Bring a Bear!

Children from the nursery raised a wonderful £100 for Children in Need by holding a “Bring a bear, Show you care” day on November 18th.

Nursery pupils from both the morning and afternoon nursery classes brought their favourite teddy to the nursery with them. They also enjoyed face painting and cake decorating. Well done !
