school finger knitting
This is a picture of primary 4s measuring their finger knitting by Abbie Campbell p5a glowbug
Some classes in 4,5,6 and 7 have been taking part in a finger knitting competition. They have been measuring the results by laying out the knitted lengths in the large hall. Some of them might be able to go up and down the hall twice and maybe even more. Some of them might be up to 12 metres long and that’s a record for the school. In fact we think we are half way towards the world record!
Mina in 5a is one of the pupils who has made an impressive start . Well done everyone who has been finger knitting.
P4B Recyled Badges
They then sold them to raise money for charity. They sold all of the badges and raised £43! Next term they will debate which charity to donate the money to. They will choose between Arthritis UK and Steps Charity
To make the badges follow these steps.
Step1 ;Get a crisp packet and wash it.
Step2; Put it in the oven for 10-15 minutes then take it out. (Ask an adult first)
Step3; Leave it to cool
Step4 ;Put a pin in the back
Step5; Wear it with pride for helping the world

The Little Fir Tree Show
On Tuesday the whole school went and saw the show. The little fir tree show lasted 40 minutes.
It was about a little fir tree that was so small all the other fir trees kept on making fun of the little fir tree, but in the end the little fir became a Christmas tree and the nurses decorated the tree.
They sang lots and lots of songs and they were all perfectly dressed and it was very well organised and everyone had a part!
They painted pictures of fir trees in the back ground and they had others underneath them.
I liked all the singing and dancing, it was very good!
Well Done to everyone who participated!
Fat Cones
The P1s are making and selling fat cones.Pupils and staff can buy them to hang in their garden to feed the birds over winter. It would be great if you got one too, so they wouldn’t have to go hungry in the snow. It is made from porridge oats ,lard bird and seed . They are using the money to pay for a bus for a trip to Aberdeen in March.

christmas dinner
On December 14th the school had Christmas dinner.Last year there were such long lines some people had to wait for a long time for their lunch. This year there wasn’t so long lines. due to the houses going in a different times. There were crackers, pigs in blankets, sausages, turkey and trifle. The crackers were great so was the food.
