Our school Vision, Values and Aims were reviewed and revised throughout school session 2022-23. These shape and guide our school ethos. Throughout session 2023-24 these will become embedded in our shared language as a school.
Through consultation with our whole school community, the following Vision Statement, School Values and Aims were created:
Definitions of our School Values:
- Respectful – being ready, listening, considerate communication and valuing self, others, property and the environment.
- Ambitious – having high expectations of myself and others, making the most of all the opportunities to learn, improve and continue to progress. We are brave, we take risks in our learning and we learn from our mistakes.
- Inclusive – recognising, supporting and celebrating differences, demonstrating kindness and understanding to all and ensuring everyone has what they need.
- Nurturing – fostering and maintaining positive relationships to enable children to learn in a supportive and caring environment, where everyone is seen, heard and helped to grow.
Our School Aims are shared with our learners, in a child-friendly way, through our Learning Heroes. These are referredĀ to regularly throughout learning experiences – ask your children about these at home!
