Auchterhouse Primary is a rural setting situated at the foot of the Sidlaws, four miles north of Dundee. It is part of the Monifieth cluster within Angus Council, split into 2 classes. Our purpose built nursery opened in August 2019.

We have a visiting Additional Support Needs (ASN) teacher,  a Strings Instructor and an Active Schools Coordinator.

 Auchterhouse has excellent facilities for outdoor learning with large grassy areas and play structures. Right next to the school is a community garden which pupils take responsibility for its upkeep by working with family members to maintain it.

Auchterhouse has an active parent council who are extremely supportive of the school. They meet once a term to discuss school developments, school improvements and fundraising. Please see their page  linked at the top of the screen.
