Welcome to our website

Welcome to the virtual  home of Angus Educational Psychology Service.  You’ll find information here about our team and what we do and some key resources and materials that we think you might find helpful.

This blog is intended for practitioners working in Angus and will be most relevant for those colleagues.  If you would like further information about anything you see here, please speak to your link Educational Psychologist (EP) or if you don’t know who your link EP is, please look here.

Who we are

The Angus EPS Team

Angus EPS is a small team of dedicated professionals.  We are each educational psychologists, registered with the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC).  We number 6 ‘maingrade’ EPs, and our Principal Educational Psychologist, Melanie Rice.  Each year we support trainee educational psychologists and are pleased this year to support Rebecca, in her second year of training.  We are also delighted to welcome back Katherine for her final year of supervised practice.  We work within the Additional Support Needs (ASN) service in the Education and Lifelong Learning Directorate of Angus Council.

Our official base is Angus House in Forfar although we are working at home when not in schools.  Each school in Angus has a named psychologist who links with that school in a manner agreed by the EP and the school.  This is usually on a regular basis (fortnightly, monthly, termly) depending on the size and need of the school.  You can see our list of which EPs link to which schools here.
