LIBRARY NEWS –
The library has purchased fab new books for the new term, including the new Harry Potter novel; the new David Walliams: “The World’s Worse Children”; written using the motif of a spiral, “The Ghosts of Heaven” by Marcus Sedgwick; Patrick Ness’s beautifully written, “The Rest of us just live here”; and two titles from the amazing FERALS series, etc., etc.
The library’s Book of the Month for August is Hawkeye vs Deadpool, collecting comics #0-4:
“If you want a story filled with mystery, action and humour, you won’t want to miss this.” Will Deadpool and Hawkeye kill each other before they can figure things out..?
Starting Monday 22nd August, library passes will be required if you want to access the quiet area of the library. Pupils must be nominated for a pass by a member of staff. This is a reward for good behaviour in school.
The library runs a Manga Club at Friday lunchtimes. If you love manga, comics and animé, come along after you’ve eaten your lunch. You don’t have to be good at art, just love Manga!
REMINDER: STRICTLY no eating or drinking – other than bottled water – in ANY part of the library, including the IT tutorial suite.
