This month we have decided to set you guys and girls a reading challenge. To read a book that is not intensely difficult but maybe more challenging than you’re used to.

For the juniors we have Half Bad by Sally Green. It’s a book about a young witch whose mother was a healing witch and whose father was a killer witch.

For the seniors we have The Hare with Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waal. This book is about some wood and ivory carvings Edmund stumbled upon in Japan and they tell and unlock a dramatic story spanning two centuries of Oriental and European history.
