Birkie Bulletin – Term Three 2024-2025
Parent Update – March 2025
What a fast term this has been! Thank you to those who have attended our “Sharing our Learning” event this afternoon and hope you found it interesting learning about all the technology through the ages and how children have been using technology this term! Our book fair was a great success and we hope that you will have a look at your children’s wish lists they have brought home and hopefully make a purchase. Thank you to those who brought in donations for the food bank and well done to our Community Champions for organising it. 😇Parent Engagement Group😇 ManyWorld Book Day at Woodlands
P7W organised a fun day to celebrate World Book Day this year. They ran a ‘dress a potato as a book character’ competition and the results were absolutely amazing. Children also dressed in their pyjamas, brought in their favourite book to read in school and dressed as a book character. We read books outdoors in the sunshine and went on a scavenger hunt to find and identify book characters. This is one of my favourite days in the school calendar.Community Engagement in the nursery
Our youngest learners have been learning about money and have set up a shop within the setting. What better way to extend this learning than by visiting our local community and spending some coins. Nursery went to the local charity shops and the bakers and were delighted to hand over money and bring bang their shopping.Parent Update – February 2025
