Sculpture Walk

Our walk to look at how we celebrate famous people in history was a great success.  The children learned so much and behaved fabulously!

When we returned to school we made great posters to share our learning with others.

Some of us shared our poster at assembly.

Art Gallery

After our walk to look at the statues around Aberdeen, the children decided that the inventors we looked at in class needed to be celebrated with their own sculptures. They were Scottish and they did great  things!

So after initially planning our design we got to work with the creating.  we used mod-roc, which the children loved using and it has given us the most amazing results.

We then added the details like cotton wool for hair and beard!  I’m sure Mr. Bell would be delighted!!

The best way to show off our sculptures…of course, our own pop-up Art Gallery in the conference room.  The whole school came to view our work.

The children did themselves proud with their good manners and behaviour. (It was a long hour!)

Most of all though they shared all that they had learned about these famous men!

Alexander Graham Bell

Alexander Fleming

John Logie Baird

The children all really enjoyed our Art Gallery and were so proud of themselves! They all enjoyed chatting to the boys, girls and staff who visited us and shared their learning so well!

I was very proud !  Well done P2 and P2/3!
