We love our technology in P7B. Recently we have learned about a new feature wishin our Google Classrooms that we absolutely love to use. Mrs Boyd can now ‘ Push’ a website that she wants us to use or be on, onto our computer screens. It saves a lot of learning time because instead of everyone trying to find the correct website that Mrs Boyd wants us to be on she can hit the ‘push’ button and it will appear on all of our screens. It is like magic. What is even better is that we can also ‘push’ websites back to Mrs Boyd if we find a website that we think is useful to others.
Below is a picture of us using this feature this morning during our Grammar lesson. Mrs Boyd found a great quiz related to the work we were doing on idioms and pushed them onto our screens.
Today Miss Leitch was teaching us all abort the immune system. We were taking notes about the different lines of defence our bodies have.
Liam learned that tears can keep germs out our bodies.
Tyler was surprised to learn about how much goes on inside our bodies that we are not aware of.
Daniel learned that ear wax and nose hair stops germs going into our bodies.
Findlay was surprised to learn how many different things protect our bodies from germs.
Primary 7B were absolutely delighted to receive these amazing thank you cards from P4/5. They were sent as a thank you from the class after they visited our WW2 Museum. Thank you P4/5 we were extremely impressed with your pictures, neat handwriting and kind words.
Thank you so much to everyone who visited P7 for our Open Afternoon. We absolutely loved showing you all of our work and having fun at the different stations with you.
We were lucky enough to visit a ‘Prayer Space’ in the music room today hosted by Anna from the Sheddocksley Baptist Church. It was lovely to take some time out of class to reflect. 7B thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
This week we learnt about rationing during WW2. ‘Make Do and Mend’ was a key part of the rationing movement during WW2. P7 learnt how to sew this week and made felt mobile phone cases. Their efforts look brilliant!
The theme of Fernielea’s World Book Day was ‘Bedtime Stories’. This was a great excuse for us to come to school dressed in our pyjamas. Throughout the day we took part in some World Book Day activities such as; book themed Kahoot quizzes, book scavenger hunt and a book swap.
Today we hosted a radio broadcast on SHMU FM between 11 and 12pm.
