The Newton group have been learning about the properties of 3D shapes. They were learning how to draw a net of a shape and create skeletons of shapes.
Primary 7A were looking at WW2 newspapers to learn about their features and to plan their newspaper report on V.E. Day.

Primary 7A were learning to write a play script. They then used their play script to act out a section from chapter 7 of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. They could use minimal props.
Primary 7A were using Numicon materials to order numbers and to place digits correctly up to 1 000 000.
The weather did not stop Primary 7A enjoying their World War 2 trail around Aberdeen with Mr Paterson. They learned about the differences of the streets and roads from WW2 to now. They also got to visit an air raid shelter and got to see what it was like inside.
Mr Paterson from Aberdeen Urban Studies Trust came into Primary 7 to teach us more about the impact WW2 had on Aberdeen. He brought in lots of photographs and artefacts which we used to find out more information about; schools, bombing, head gear, woman’s role, identification, air raid shelters and rationing. We are looking forward to the WW2 tour of Aberdeen and visit to the air raid shelter next week.
Primary 7A were learning about different types of micro-organisms. They then designed a microbe of their choice, either bacterium, a virus or a fungus using plasticine. They had to decide whether they were harmful or beneficial.
