WW2 Trail

The weather did not stop Primary 7A enjoying their World War 2 trail around Aberdeen with Mr Paterson. They learned about the differences of the streets and roads from WW2 to now. They also got to visit an air raid shelter and got to see what it was like inside.

WW2 Research

Mr Paterson from Aberdeen Urban Studies Trust came into Primary 7 to teach us more about the impact WW2 had on Aberdeen. He brought in lots of photographs and artefacts which we used to find out more information about; schools, bombing, head gear, woman’s role, identification, air raid shelters and rationing. We are looking forward to the WW2 tour of Aberdeen and visit to the air raid shelter next week.

Science

Primary 7A were learning about different types of micro-organisms. They then designed a microbe of their choice, either bacterium, a virus or a fungus using plasticine. They had to decide whether they were harmful or beneficial.
