Term 1 – Harvest Assembly

We worked really hard to perform our assembly to the entire school and our parents. Our story took place in the present day, until the characters took a time travelling trip in the Teachers’ cupboard to the past. There, they discovered the meaning behind Harvest – being thankful for what we have to eat.

As is tradition, the children were all asked to donate dried or canned foods towards a charity. 7S voted to give our generous donations to the Aberdeen Cyrenians. This charity shelter and feeds hundreds of homeless people within the city.

Thank you to everyone who donated!

Term 1 – TechFest

All the way back in term 1, the P6’s and 7’s were lucky enough to visit Robert Gordon’s University to participate in Techfest. The children learned loads about wind energy, bubbles and bacteria. A specific highlight was building wind turbines and testing how much energy they produced. One of our pupils especially enjoyed putting mentos in the diet coke!
