Room 15 were delighted to meet Dr Kirsteen MacKenzie from Aberdeen University today.  We listened intently as Dr MacKenzie told us about the fascinating discovery of  a diary written by an “ordinary working man” caught up in the chaos of the 18th century Jacobite rebellions. The diary was written by Alexander Smith, a joiner from Fraserburgh, born in the late 17th century.
