Term 1, Week 2

Another exciting week! Lots of great writing and work on column multiplication this week! We also had a visit from other school’s teaching staff to see how great our pupils are getting on. When they visited, our class was doing a Waste Audit to try to identify how to reduce the waste levels in our class bins!

Term 4, Week 1

Welcome back!

This term we will be looking at the following Maths topics in this order:

Data Handling, Money, Angles, Position and Movement, and Measure.

In literacy: non-fiction writing (particularly persuasive forms such as editorials and instructive such as recipes).

P.E.: Athletics in preparation for Sports Day (May the 18th).

Topic/Health and Wellbeing: My World of Work and Substance Use (specifically tobacco use).

CLIC Targets:

Counting: Count Fourways (counting in 0.2s, 0.5s and 0.25s).
Learn its: x6, x7, x8 Times tables
It’s Nothing New: Pom’s Words: Prime Numbers.
Calculation: Any 3digit plus 3digit mentally using partitioning.

Pupil of the Week: Odafe! Odafe showed great resilience, motivation and teamwork at Duthie Park! Well done Odafe!

Challenger of the Week: Jack! Well done improving your use of punctuation and capital letters.

UNCRC Rights Respecter of the Week: Odafe – Odafe helped two of our buddies build a slides presentation at the same time.

Star Writer: Jax! Jax produced an excellent presentation on the European VIper or Adder!
