Good morning all!
Today marks our first day of online learning! I am excited to see how the students take on this challenge – I know they’ll do great!
On Google Classroom, I posted a schedule I had in mind for the students and they all agreed with it. We will be sticking with some of the routines like spelling test, big maths and mental maths as I think these are important things that will continue to help.
Each day there will be an activity for the students to complete. They are nothing crazy and can even be done on a piece of paper and then a picture can be taken to hand in.

Student Prizes
- The printable certificates of achievement go to the top ten students in a contest.
- Students are ranked by the number of correct answers. If students have the same number of correct answers, then they are ranked by their average answering speed.
- To qualify for a participation reward, a student must answer 100 questions in the contest.
Our Digital Champions have been recruited to take care of Rm 4 and ensure it is tidy. They also collect the iPads and laptops at the end of the day, return them to their homes and ensure that they are charging for the next day.
It is a very responsible job and we know they are well suited for it.
