P3 Open Afternoon

On Wednesday afternoon primary 3 invited their parents into the Great Pyramid. Parents got a change to see pupils work, make a cartouche, played ancient Egyption games and even got tea and cake.
All the children had a great time showing their parents the fantastic work that has been going on in room 8.

Aberdeen Football Club

Quarryhill had two very special visitors today, Clarke Robertson and Ryan Jack from Aberdeen Football Club. The players were up to promote the free ticket giveaway for Saturday’s game. Quarryhill have received 150 tickets for the match against Motherwell on Saturday, kindly donated by Simmons and Company as part of their family fun day.

Jay, Lexi and Brandon with Ryan Jack, Clarke Robertson and a representative from Simmons and Company.

Eco

Miss Quinn has been working really hard towards getting the Green Eco flag for Quarryhill. All the money from the Eco discos, which were held during Eco Week, has gone towards buying new bins for the playground. The bins are in castle colours. P3Q will be monitoring the amount of rubbish in each bin. The bin with the most rubbish will get 5 castle points everyday.

Vocal Tutor and Choir

Quarryhill is delighted to welcome Mr Miller, our new vocal tutor to the school. Mr Miller will be working with all pupils in P1 – P7. Mr Miller will begin his sessions on Thursday.

As part of his work at Quarryhill, he will be running a lunchtime choir club for the P5 – P7 pupils. The club will be running from 12.25pm -1.05pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
