World Book Day 2026

Reading raffle (S1-S6) – get a raffle ticket when you read in the library Mon-Thurs this week – and when you come to Live Online Author Talk at Thursday break.  Winner announced 1.15pm Thurs 5th March. Prize: chocolate egg.

Design a book token competition (S1-S2) – NEW DEADLINE: TUESDAY 10th 10.45am. Prizes: chocolate eggs and place on cinema trip.

Save Our School Librarians!!
On Wednesday 4th of March, Aberdeen City Councillors will vote on proposed budget cuts.
One proposal is to reduce the number of librarians in ACC secondary schools.
Every school deserves a full-time, qualified librarian.
Please show your support for our school librarians by signing this petition

The Curriculum Resource Information Service (CRIS) is also under threat. It provides valuable resources for primary and secondary schools.

Book Week Scotland Quiz S1-S6
The theme of this year’s Book Week Scotland is friendship, so with this in mind, our whole school competition will look at famous friends from well-known books.
The prize for pupils will be a £10 Amazon voucher. The staff winner will get a box of chocolates.

To celebrate, we have a competition for S1 and S2 pupils.
